Earth

Earth takes its name from our planet. It has an antique appearance, but it is also an absolute novelty: technically it is a velvet with hemp pile on a cotton base, but the different and exclusive processes make it different from any other fabric and in its own way not catalogable. Hemp is one of the plant fibres that requires less water for cultivation. All the processing and finishing processes are carried out without the use of chemicals and the colour variations are obtained thanks to a natural dyeing method that uses the oxidation process of the ferrous components present in some types of earth. The nature of hemp and the natural dyeing give Earth the appearance of an ancient fabric. Like a handcrafted product, it has irregularities that are its distinctive feature and added value. “Rustic” to the touch, refined in its palette. Very resistant, Earth is suitable for upholstery.
